This is the stud plan I will use this winter. Last winter I used ice screws (you can see from the tires). They worked great for 2-3 rides, but after that were shot. I did sharpen them once and they worked good for another ride or two, but after that they were done.

A couple riding buddies tried this last year and it was amazing. Better traction than tar, and they should last at LEAST five years from the little wear they showed after one season of riding.

When done, the rears will have two studs every other row, stagger middle, inside, outside. The fronts will have two studs every row. Total is about 172 studs.

This year is gonna be the best for ice riding yet!

A completed rear tire with beadlock rim. The purpose of the beadlock is because normally we tube the tires. But in this case i am just testing to see how well it will hold air without a tube. I'll give it a couple days and we shall see.
